Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
Acknowledgment: By booking and paying for a lesson, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy.
1. General Philosophy
The goal is to respect the time of both the student and the teacher. This policy ensures that reserved time slots are honored and allows for efficient scheduling for all parties.
2. Rescheduling
Lessons may be rescheduled without penalty if the teacher is notified at least 12 hours before the scheduled start time.
3. Late Cancellations & No-Shows
Less than 12 hours notice: Cancellations made less than 12 hours before the lesson start time will be charged at the full lesson rate. The lesson will not be rescheduled.
No-Show: If a student does not join the meeting or make contact within the first 15 minutes of the scheduled lesson time, the lesson will be considered a "No-Show," forfeited, and charged at the full rate.
4. Teacher Cancellations
If the teacher needs to cancel a lesson, as much notice as possible will be given. The student will receive a full credit for the lesson, and it will be rescheduled at a mutually convenient time.
5. Technical Issues
In the event of technical difficulties (e.g., internet outage, platform failure), please contact the teacher immediately via the agreed-upon backup method (e.g., email, WhatsApp). If the issue is on the teacher's side and cannot be resolved within 15 minutes, the lesson will be rescheduled at no cost. If the issue is on the student's side, the missed time will be treated as a late cancellation. However, the teacher may offer a partial make-up at their discretion, depending on the circumstances.
6. Emergencies & Extenuating Circumstances
Genuine emergencies (e.g., sudden illness, family emergency) will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Please notify the teacher as soon as possible.
7. Package Lessons
This policy applies to all individual lessons, including those purchased as part of a package. Expiration dates for lesson packages are firm. Unused lessons are forfeited after the expiration date, unless otherwise mutually agreed upon.
